Berjaya Hotel Colombo is an 85-roomed Star Class Hotel owned and managed by Berjaya Hotels and Resorts which comprise of hotels in Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Philippines, Seychelles, Iceland, London, etc., is a subsidiary of Berjaya Group of Companies, a Public Listed Malaysian Conglomerate with Business in Financial Service, Hotels, Resorts, Property Investment & Development, Games & Lottery Management, Environment services, Clean technology Investment, Motor Trading & Distribution, Food & Beverage, Investment Holding among many others.
We are looking for self-driven, results-oriented individuals with outgoing personalities for the below mentioned position to join our team.
Cost Controller
Responsibilities:
- ▸ Monitor the wastage of production sections and restaurants on a daily basis and recommend methods to minimize the wastages.
- Performing market surveys on competitor prices and raw material purchase prices.
- ▸ Ensure the recipe ingredients and costing records are updated continuously to ensure accurate costing.
Recommend substitute ingredient to reduce production cost.
Monitor the food cost with pre costing and ensure variance are under acceptable norms and recommend options for high variances.
Contact random spot audits on product weight and stocks at stores.
Produce reports on daily / monthly Food and Beverage reports.
Preparing variance analysis of inventories and communicate with relevant parties.
Researching to find opportunities to reduce expenses and communicate the measures to be taken.
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years in work experience in a similar field.
Ability to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Well conversant in MS office applications.
Ability to work under pressure to meet the deadlines.
- ▸ Candidate should be result oriented with the ability to work with minimum supervision.
