Sri Lanka Institute of Biotechnology (Pvt) Ltd is a fully government owned private company for research and development including biotech related manufacturing processes. We are looking for dedicated personnel to be a part of our team for immediate employment.
Lab Manager
Qualifications Required:
- A Ph.D. in physical, biological or life sciences
Experience:
- Minimum 03 years of proven laboratory experience
- Expert knowledge of laboratory health and safety protocols
Your role:
- Manage laboratory resources, including equipment, materials, and supplies
- Oversee the procurement and inventory management of laboratory supplies and equipment
- Provide guidance, training, and support to laboratory personnel
- Plan and coordinate laboratory activities, experiments, and projects in collaboration with researchers and principal investigators
- Develop and implement schedules and timelines for research projects
- Develop and manage the laboratory budget, including allocation of funds for equipment, supplies, and personnel
- Monitor expenditures and ensure fiscal responsibility
- Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of research outcomes
- Enforce adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols
- Oversee the maintenance and functionality of laboratory facilities and equipment
- Coordinate repairs, upgrades, and preventive maintenance as needed
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols
- Stay informed about and ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and protocols governing research laboratories
- Foster collaboration and effective communication among laboratory staff and with other departments or external collaborators
- Serve as a liaison between the laboratory and higher administration
- Oversee data management practices, including record-keeping, data entry, and data security
- Ensure proper documentation of experimental procedures and results
- Coordinate multi-disciplinary research projects and collaborations within the laboratory
- Ensure efficient use of resources to meet project deadlines and milestones
