OXO Tech is a specialist in technical recruitment, connecting skilled professionals with leading Independent Software Vendors (ISVS) globally. A prominent US-based software development company is urgently seeking resources for above positions at their Colombo-based development center.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain server-side applications using Python.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following coding standards.
- Write server-side web application logic to effectively manage data.
- Integrate front-end elements into the application, ensuring a seamless user experience.
- Focus on performance optimization, security measures, and maintaining code quality.
- Develop robust APIs and undertake meticulous testing and debugging processes to uphold application integrity.
- Leverage cloud technologies, including containers (Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS) to deliver scalable and reliable applications.
- Utilize CI/CD best practices using Jenkins, Nexus, Maven/Gradle, GitHub, SonarQube, and Ansible.
- Follow Agile methodologies and participate in frequent releases. Provide in-depth technical skills to fix ad hoc incidents/problems and mentor DevOps teams.
Candidate Profile
Minimum 3 years of software and development experience. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. Proven experience in Python application development. Knowledge of ReactJS, jQuery, AJAX, and HTML 5 is a plus. Solid understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture.
Knowledge of RESTful API design using tools like Swagger, and integration of the same.
Familiarity with database systems (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, etc.).
Work in a Linux environment and navigate around a Linux system.
Experience with iterative and agile development with frequent releases, familiar with the Agile Manifesto, aware of all Agile ceremonies.
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Passion for learning and staying updated on emerging technologies.
