MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT

ABOUT US:

LOCATION: FIJI ISLANDS

Vinod Patel and Company Pte Limited, one of Fiji's largest corporate organisations, specializes in retailing hardware, building materials, and consumer goods. Its branches are situated in all major towns and cities in Fiji, and it also operates a company in Timor Leste. The company has expanded its operations to include consumer finance, property management, and manufacturing. Currently, the company is looking to hire a results-oriented individual for this position.

KEY OUTCOMES:

Proven experience in preparation of Budgets, Cash Flow forecasts, financial projections and monthly Management Accounts and Management Reports.

A strong ability to analyse and interpret monthly reports against budget and variance reporting, with proficiency in maintaining accounting systems, procedures and internal controls including preparation of capital expenditure appraisal and project management.

  • Have an ability to provide advice on the financial implications/ consequences on business decisions, together with cost control initiatives and activities.

Professional expertise in contributing to medium/ long term business planning and advising senior executives of ways to improve business performance through the interpretation and communication of financial data.

Must be able to conduct timely reviews on the adequacy of systems, procedures and controls to implement revised approaches and add value to the business by managing and reducing operational cost.

MUST HAVE:

Must have completed a Degree in Finance/ Accounting/Financial Management.

Higher education in Post Graduate or Masters would be an added advantage.

Full qualification in ACA, CIMA or recognized professional accounting institute.

Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience.

Person to have a positive and confident attitude, be able to interact with all levels of executives and employees and possess attributes of a team player.

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft applications, be familiar with working in ERP systems and have excellent analytical and numerical abilities.
