In Kalutara, Continental produces a wide range of solid tires and is exporting them into more than 50 markets all over the world. Solid tires are used for forklifts and other industry applications.

We are on the lookout for an experienced individual to join our Finance & Controlling Department as the Head of Plant Controlling heading the Controlling Department

Key responsibilities

  • Steer the budget planning process for the plant in corporation with plant management in accordance with the central guidelines
  • Support all cost center owners in the cost center planning including Expenses, head count and salary planning, and extra ordinary projects
  • Assure a correct and timely month-end closing of SAP TEMPO (ERP) and financial results of the plant
  • Ensure SAP TEMPO (ERP) set-up in accordance with Financial reporting guidelines issued by the Corporate requirement, Cost Accounting standard and central requests.

Assure the correct application of all expenses to the respective period.

Perpetration of Forecasts of Financial Performance & Position by considering appropriate variables and all operational changes planned.

  • Perform all the reporting tasks required by Central, Division, BUs, and Manufacturing Controlling
  • Present the financial results of the plant in the Operations review & provide local controlling data
  • Support all controlling related management activities such as monthly cost center reviews
  • Support all strategic matters with financial analysis, and the required calculations
  • Develop and implement Standard processes that allow for increased quality of Financial data
  • Steer & develop the controlling team
  • Initiate changes for more accurate cost capturing, transparent reporting and cost efficiency
  • Take part in local controlling projects & cross functional projects

Qualification and experiences

Continental

  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in Finance Controlling with fully qualified.
  • Possess strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skill.
  • Highly organized and has the ability to plan, develop and implements process improvements in handling specific task and responsibilities.
  • Advanced written and oral communication skills in English
  • Ability to work independently & make decision in accordance with established policies & regulations.
  • Be a good team player with positive attitudes.
