Project and NPM Purchaser (Executive)

After 10 years of successful Joint Venture, Eu-Retec became a fully owned Continental company in October 2018. In Kalutara, Continental produces a wide range of solid tires and is exporting them into more than 50 markets all over the world. Solid tires are used for forklifts and other industry applications. We are on the lookout for an experienced individual to join our Purchasing Department as Project and NPM Purchaser.
Key responsibilities
- Lead tendering activities in delegated areas; independently until the authorized volume; aligned with local, regional and global counterparts for higher volumes.
- Process shopping carts, create orders and track order confirmations for delegated areas.
- Lead and steer implementation of catalogues and frame agreements for delegated areas.
- Support regional and global counterparts in implementation of Corporate Purchasing Strategies. Create and provide reports about performance and development of delegated areas. Maintain performance data and planning in respective tools (IST, Project Tracker, etc).
- Ensure project item purchase within the allocated budget and timelines.
Qualification and experiences
- University degree (technical background preferable).
- 3-5 years purchasing experience in relevant industry will be a plus (Project procurement experience is an added advantage).
- Knowledge in SAP System and Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of planning tools & supply chain management.
- Advanced written and oral communication skills in English.
