Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in a similar capacity.
  • Degree/Diploma in Computer Science or Information Technology.
  • Microsoft System Certified Administrator/Engineer or equal qualification.
  • Microsoft Azure Administrator Certification.
  • Being CCNA certified will be an added advantage.
  • Good knowledge on networking, LAN, WAN, WIFI and Firewalls.
  • Sufficient demonstrable knowledge and experience in server environments.
  • Knowledge and experience in Virtualization techniques.
  • Knowledge and experience with shared network attached storage.
  • Team Player, Good communication skills and fluent English Should be able to work under pressure.
  • Infrastructure components to be managed
  • Windows Server 2008 to 2022, Window 10/11, Office365,, Nagios, Veeam, Fortinet, WSUS, Opensuse Leap, Dell Equallogic, Ubiquiti, DNS, DHCP, WIFI, Azure App service, SQL, Hyper-V, IIS, Azure Devops, SMTP, Postfix, Topdesk

Key responsibilities

  • Schedule and perform regular hardware, software and network maintenance.
  • Follow appropriate standards for client and server configuration and installation.
  • Monitoring performance, maintaining systems and be responsible for all backups.
  • Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls.
  • Keep a track of IT asset inventories.
  • Proactively analyze issues and report to the team and other engineers.
  • Working with AD, DNS, AD group policies, Firewall administration, WSUS and VPN configuration.
  • Learn and advance own skills and keep up with certifications.
