We now wish to recruit a high calibre individual to join Sri Lanka's leading international brand for the following position.
Speech and Language Therapist
As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will play a pivotal role in improving the quality of life for children with different abilities. You will work alongside a team of dedicated therapists, special educators as well as other healthcare professionals to provide a multi-sensory and holistic care as well as innovative therapies at our Centre for Children with Cerebral Palsy and other Development Disorders located in Rajagiriya.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert speech and language therapy services to children with multiple abilities with a focus of developing their communication and social skills.
- Develop, monitor and review individualized programmes along with the Multi-Disciplinary Team. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and medical staff and the special education teachers
- Stay up to date with the latest research and best practices in pediatric speech and language therapy and rehabilitation
- Educate parents and caregivers on home-based programs and strategies to support the child's development. Maintain accurate records and documentation of therapy sessions and progress.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the overall development of the therapy services and the holistic development of the children.
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech and Language Therapy
- SLMC & SLSP registrations as a Speech and Language Therapist
- Minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Tamil Language skill would be an added advantage
- Passion for enhancing the quality of life for children with special needs
