Accountant
KPP Group, a prominent Sri Lankan company specializing in Glass, Mirrors, and accessories, with an expansive island-wide distribution network, is actively seeking a dynamic candidate for the Accountant position.
An Accountant manages financial records, ensures accuracy, and supports an organization's financial health. Responsibilities include recording transactions, preparing statements, analysing data, and ensuring compliance with regulations. They contribute to budgeting, taxes, and financial insights. Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and proficiency in accounting software are crucial for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and finalize financial reports monthly, quarterly, and annually in compliance with Accounting standards.
- Liaise with External Auditors, Bankers, and Tax authorities.
- Coordinate all tax-related processes and assist with tax filings/submissions as stipulated by the tax authorities.
- Ensure timely preparation of cheques, fund transfers, and disbursements.
- Identify control gaps and implement proper internal controls.
- Assist with any other finance and operational work assigned by management.

Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Finance/Business Management or a part professional qualification in CA/CIMA/ACCA.
- Proven 3 years of experience as an accountant or high-calibre experience of at least 5 years under the Accounts Executive grade will also be considered.
- Hands-on experience in handling tax related matters.
- Ability to work with multiple operating functions, supporting the team under pressure.
- High competency in MS Office applications.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication within the organization.
- Age between 28 - 40 years.
