ASSISTANT MANAGER - HUMAN RESOURCES

Tea Smallholder Factories PLC is a subsidiary of John Keells Holdings PLC and is listed under the Food & Beverage Sector in the Colombo Stock Exchange. The principal activity of the company is manufacturing and sale of black tea with tea factories in the districts of Galle and Nuwara Eliya.

A vacancy exists for the role of Assistant Manager - Human Resources, reporting to the Senior Manager - Human Resources, in an environment which encourages new ideas and initiatives and provides excellent performance-based career development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake regular visits to factories
  • Onboarding and offboarding process of staff as per the annual manpower plan
  • Preparation of all employee documents from recruitment to resignation
  • Maintenance of personnel files & related documentation
  • Organizing and executing employee engagement initiatives and motivational events
  • Representing the company in legal cases
  • Providing required input for payroll purposes
  • Provide HR information required for management decision making
  • Identifying and coordinating learning and development initiatives for all staff and workers
  • Coordinate all medical / WCI / PA Claims

Person Specifications

  • Professional qualification
  • 3 plus years' experience in a similar capacity
  • Sound knowledge in MS Office
  • Hands-on experience in SAP Success Factors will be an added advantage
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Sinhala
