E-commerce Associate (Gemstones and Jewellery)

About Us

We are looking for an E-commerce Associate to join us full-time into our Sales and Marketing Team. The role involves creating, updating, and maintaining product listings, managing promotional campaigns within the seller platform, and providing customer support. This position will work cross functionally with our Sourcing/Manufacturing, Pre-Marketing (Grading & Photography), and Logistics Teams.

The role/responsibilities

  • Decide on suitable products for the relevant marketing channel in question, categorize them appropriately, and ensure those products are uploaded with full details (photos, videos, description, price)
  • Constantly review uploads/listings to ensure accuracy and quality in photos, videos, descriptions, promotional tags/keywords, and prices (QA)
  • Utilize channel/platform tools to promote products and manage ad campaigns regularly
  • Assist customers with purchasing and answer any queries they might have
  • Liaise with production staff to design and manufacture bespoke jewellery
  • Measure and monitor key metrics related to the sales channel and take action to improve channel performance
  • In addition, you will perform other ad hoc tasks to support day-to-day web merchandising, marketing projects and overall ecommerce business operations

Requirements

Strong interest in sales/marketing, ecommerce, and gems and jewellery

  • A/L passed (a relevant diploma/degree is a plus)
  • Computer literacy (Excel, Word, Browsers)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and organizational skills
  • Extremely patient and self-disciplined
  • Problem solver and self-starter with ability to take initiative and work independently
  • Ability to learn new things quickly
  • Experience in sales, marketing, gems and jewellery will be a plus

Compensation

Base (LKR50,000) and performance related bonuses available

Rajagiriya

Hours

Mon-Fri 8.30am-5.30pm

Sat 8.30am-1pm (Simple replies to customers are expected during out-of-office hours)
