Vacancy:

  • Qualifications:

    • Culinary Degree or Diploma: A formal education in culinary arts or a related field is typically required for this position.

    • Previous experience working in a cold kitchen or similar culinary environment, preferably as a Commis Chef.

    • Knowledge of Cold Kitchen Techniques: Proficiency in preparing cold dishes, salads, appetizers, and cold platters with precision and attention to detail.

    • Ability to create visually appealing dishes, garnishes, and presentations that enhance the dining experience.

    • Strong organizational skills to manage inventory, maintain cleanliness, and ensure smooth operations in the cold kitchen.

    • Collaboration with other kitchen staff, effective communication, and the ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure, fast-paced restaurant setting.

  • Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Assisting in the preparation and assembly of cold dishes, salads, appetizers, and cold platters according to the restaurant's standards.

    • Creating visually appealing garnishes and decorations to enhance the presentation of cold dishes.

    • Ensuring that all cold dishes are prepared and presented to meet high-quality standards before they are served to guests.

    • Monitoring and managing inventory for cold kitchen ingredients, ensuring freshness and minimizing waste.

    • Keeping the cold kitchen area clean, organized, and sanitized according to food safety standards.

    • Assisting other kitchen staff as needed, collaborating with colleagues to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service.
