About Us:

Berjaya Hotel Colombo is an 85-roomed Star Class Hotel owned and managed by Berjaya Hotels and Resorts which comprise of hotels in Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Philippines, Seychelles, Iceland, London, etc., and is a subsidiary of Berjaya Group of Companies.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of Accounting functions, including accounts payable/ receivable
  • Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings
  • Daily monitoring and analysis of revenue expenses
  • Ensure timely bank payments
  • Manage balance sheets and profit/ loss statements
  • Audit financial transactions and documents
  • Comply with financial policies and regulations

Requirements:

  • Part or fully qualification in Accountancy, with a strong understanding of financial practices
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar capacity (prior experience in a star class hotel would be advantageous)
  • Proficiency in computer literacy and a good command of spoken and written English
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures
