SENIOR PROGRAMS OFFICER

REQUIREMENT

  • Lead and oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of projects and programs in alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, partners, and stakeholders to ensure effective project delivery and achievement of desired outcomes.
  • Conduct research, analysis, and needs assessments to inform program development and decision-making processes.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets, and monitor progress against key milestones and targets.
  • Manage project budgets, expenditures, and financial reporting in coordination with the finance team.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to project staff, volunteers, and partners to ensure project success and capacity building.
  • Represent Alliance for Peace at meetings, conferences, and events related to program areas and initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development of grant proposals, funding applications, and donor reports.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., International Development, Social Sciences, Project Management).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management or program coordination, preferably in the nonprofit or development sector.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and leadership skills, with the ability to manage complex projects and priorities effectively.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and implementing projects from conception to completion.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and project management tools/software.
