Fashion Designer / Senior Fashion Designer (Female)
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Senior Fashion Designer who will be responsible for driving the strategic direction of our fashion department, overseeing the development and execution of fashion collections, and ensuring the achievement of sales targets. This is a senior leadership role that requires exceptional leadership, creative thinking, and business acumen.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough research on current fashion trends, consumer preferences, and market demands to create designs that are both on-trend and commercially viable.
- Work closely with outlets on their seasonal requirements to develop and design captivating collections that resonate with their seasons/phases & stories.
- Translate concepts into stunning sketches and bring them to life through the support of meticulous pattern-making and garment construction.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends, colors, and fabric according to our design.
- Collaborate closely with the development/pattern and sample room teams to ensure impeccable quality and adherence to designs' specification.
- Identify market opportunities and contribute to the overall company strategy through your designing expertise.
Qualification & Experience
- Should possess a degree from a local/international university or an equivalent professional qualification from a reputed institution.
- Strong understanding of different fabric types, their behavior, and fair knowledge of pattern, drape, and garment construction.
- Familiar with designing software i.e. Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Taking ownership and being an initiator at the workplace to look for possibilities of improvement through innovation and research of the product and its implementations.
- Age below 40.
- Should have a minimum of 5 years' experience.
