ASSISTANT ENGINEER

Responsibility
- Oversee, manage and direct all maintenance procedures and operations.
- Evaluate and recommend the most economical and efficient control systems in order to improve cost effectiveness.
- System and process improvements to increase the efficiency of the department.
- Ensure smooth functioning of mechanical and electrical equipment in order to provide an uninterrupted service and facilitate the operations of the organization.
- Working closely with relevant departments to improve plant efficiency.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering equivalent qualification in mechanical or production engineering from a reputable university or institute is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 2 years specifically in the food manufacturing industry.
- Familiarity with food quality control and safety principles and practices is mandatory, including knowledge of ISO 22000 and HACCP food safety and quality control procedures.
- Excellent computer literate with ability to work in a fully computerized working environment and Auto-CAD System.
- Good communication skills, strong analytical skills with problem-solving skills.
- Priority will be given to candidates residing in Kaduwela area.
