MANAGER/ASSISTANT MANAGER - HUMAN RESOURCES

The Job:

As the Manager / Assistant Manager HR at Timex Garments (Pvt) Ltd Kadawatha, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources management to support the company's objectives and foster a positive work environment for our employees.

With a focus on talent acquisition, employee relations, and organizational development, you will play a key role in driving our success and ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and programs to support the company's strategic goals and promote a culture of excellence, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Lead recruitment and talent acquisition efforts, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding new employees, to ensure the timely filling of vacant positions with qualified candidates.
  • Manage employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance handling, in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Conduct performance management processes, including goal setting, performance appraisals, and career development planning, to recognize and reward high performers and address areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and industry standards, and maintain accurate records of employee information, payroll, and benefits administration.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in HR management roles within the manufacturing industry, with a strong understanding of labor laws and regulations in Sri Lanka.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve results and drive continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with employees, managers, and external stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on finding practical solutions to complex HR issues.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and other HR technology tools.
