Job Title: Executive - Factory Accountant

Location: Based at Minuwangoda

Responsibilities:

  • On time completion of budgets as per the stipulated guidelines.
  • On time and accurate preparation of monthly overhead projection for the location & regular monitoring of overheads and take necessary action to control the overhead within the projection.
  • Ensure effective physical and financial controls are in place within the location to ensure safeguarding of assets.
  • Conduct monthly factory finance reviews and implement/drive the key initiatives to reduce the overheads & to enhance internal controls.
  • Periodic review of all balance sheet schedules to ensure that there are no long outstanding balances.
  • Ensure all payments are in line with the process and made on time.
  • Assist in developing and integrating new processes.
  • Assist with the continuous improvement initiatives within the Finance Department and implement best practices.
  • Effective business partnering to enhance controls and achieve financial KPIs of the location.
  • Prepare/review regular reconciliations including payroll, fabric, cut ship and fixed assets to ensure key controls are in place.
  • Perform additional duties commensurate with the current role, as and when requested by the management.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Qualified or Final Stage in either CIMA, ACCA or a similar qualification.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong networking, analyzing, and organizing skills.
