As a Tailormade Sales Consultant, you will work collaboratively with DMC departments to develop and refine FIT/ Tailormade trip itineraries. You will ensure that costing and pricing for the itineraries are consistently accurate and updated. You will also assist in product review by refining existing trips and identifying competitive alternatives when required. Additionally, the role will include using booking systems to manage bookings and confirmation with suppliers for accommodation, transportation and all activities relevant to our trips. This is a full-time permanent position, where you will work in our office in Colombo, with working from home on occasion.
Some of the experience you'll bring with you include:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in travel and tourism operations
- Excellent operational knowledge with Tailormade/ FIT Itineraries
- Diploma/ Degree related to Travel & Tourism
- Hands-on experience with reservation processes
- Excellent systems knowledge and the ability to learn new systems easily
- Strong destination/ regional and local travel knowledge
- Good English communication skills with the ability to build rapport with internal and external clients Basic financial acumen; understanding of costs, margins and mark up
