CUSTOMER SERVICE ASSOCIATE - CARGO

Responsibilities

  • Provide prompt and professional assistance to customers regarding cargo inquiries, bookings, and shipments.
  • Handle inbound calls, emails, and other communication channels to address customer queries and resolve issues effectively.
  • Coordinate with internal departments such as operations, sales, and finance to ensure smooth cargo handling and timely delivery.
  • Assist in tracking and tracing shipments, updating customers on shipment status, and providing relevant documentation as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, transactions, and cargo-related data in our systems.

Requirements

  • G.C.E. O/L
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in logistics, customer service or related fields will be an added advantage.
  • Proven experience in a customer service role, preferably in a cargo, freight, or transportation environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information.
  • Familiarity with cargo handling procedures, shipping documentation, and logistics terminology.
  • Proficiency in computer applications such as CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and email.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow.
