ASSISTANT FRONT OFFICE MANAGER

Uga Chena Huts is a high-end luxury boutique resort set amongst the golden dunes and the lush greenery of Sri Lanka's safari hotspot; Yala. Owned and managed by Uga which is a luxury boutique hotel chain with an exquisite collection of hotels. The Uga Experience unites the natural magic of Sri Lanka with the warmest hospitality of her people.

We are currently looking to recruit a courteous and dynamic individual with high service standards, and a passion for customer service for the position of Assistant Front Office Manager at our luxury property in Yala;

Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome guests with a warm and friendly demeanor, ensuring the standard for a positive first impression.
  • Manage and supervise guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently, while adhering to established procedures. Provide accurate information about hotel amenities, services, excursions, and local attractions.
  • Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints in a timely and courteous manner, demonstrating a commitment to ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Lead the coordination of special guest requests, working closely with relevant departments to enhance guest satisfaction and deliver personalized experiences.
  • Oversee payment processing activities to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial procedures, while also monitoring and maintaining accurate guest accounts in close collaboration with the finance department.
  • Collaborate closely with housekeeping, reservations, and other hotel departments to ensure smooth operations and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Monitor and ensure the security and safety of guests and their belongings, follow established security procedures, and report any unusual incidents.
  • Conduct regular meetings with department heads to address operational issues and implement improvements.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a 1-2 years of managerial role within the front office or hospitality industry.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a friendly and approachable attitude.
  • Excellent command of the English language coupled with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of using hotel management software.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts.
