ASSISTANT MANAGER/EXECUTIVE FREIGHT SALES
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare target market list; identify new customers and develop pricing strategies specific to different customer segments.
- Identify probable business opportunities and establish relationships with potential clients to expand the company's customer base in freight.
- Visit potential/existing customers regularly.
- Manage long-term business relationships with clients to consistently achieve desired results.
- Coordinate with respective departments & subordinates to improve customer support services.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and global economic developments and adjust the sales strategies accordingly.
- Work closely with other departments, such as operations and customer service, to ensure seamless delivery of services to customers.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 1-year experience in Sales in the Freight Forwarding industry.
- A qualification in Logistics and having a strong customer base with proven track record would be an added advantage.
- Strategic thinking capabilities with interpersonal and negotiation skills. Strong communication in English and Sinhala.
- Ability to adapt to changing business environments, build and maintain relationships with key clients.
