MULTICHEMI INTERNATIONAL - Assistant Accountant
Multichemi International Limited is one of the largest Sri Lankan detergent manufacturers, producing international standard, biodegradable, and environmentally friendly detergents across laundry care and car care categories. Our brands include 'Dash', 'Safematic', 'Comox', 'Gliz', 'Spring Time', 'Safeol', and 'Magic Soft'!
We are rapidly expanding our operations in line with our vision to become the leading detergent brand in Sri Lanka. To efficiently manage our growth and financial operations, we are seeking a skilled finance professional to fill the position of Assistant Accountant.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you should have:
▸ A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Management from a recognized university in Sri Lanka.
▸ Part qualification in CA Sri Lanka, CMA, or ACCA.
▸ At least 2 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a similar position. Priority will be given to individuals with experience in an FMCG company. Experience in an audit firm will be considered an added advantage.
▸ Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office. Hands-on experience with SAP B1 will be considered an added advantage.
▸ Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
▸ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
▸ Ability to meet work deadlines with minimal supervision.
▸ Understanding of banking procedures, tax procedures, and treasury management.
▸ Age below 35 years.
Key Responsibilities:
As an Assistant Accountant at Multichemi International Limited, you will:
▸ Assist in the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and reports for management.
▸ Maintain and reconcile accurate financial records.
▸ Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
▸ Assist in the efficient and effective management of cash flow and treasury.
▸ Assist in budgeting and monitoring.
▸ Liaise with banks, statutory auditors, the Department of Inland Revenue, and other government organizations.
▸ Assist in analyzing financial data to provide insights for decision-making.
▸ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial goals.
▸ Provide necessary leadership to the finance department of the company.
