TECHNICAL OFFICER
POULTRY PROCESSING PLANT
We are an award-winning organization known for its commitment to excellence and innovation in the food processing industry. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as Maintenance Technical Officer for our newly built ultra-modern processing facility at Ganewatta, Wariyapola.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee and manage all maintenance activities within the poultry processing plant.
- Conduct routine inspections and implement preventive maintenance procedures to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and electronic systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
- Coordinate with production teams to schedule maintenance activities without disrupting operations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, certification requirements, and inventory.
- Leading the maintenance team in the processing factory and work as a collaborative team.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Hold a Higher National Diploma (HND) or NVQ level 5 certificate in an electrical/mechanical/ref and air field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance technical officer or maintenance in-charge roles within the food processing or related industry. Poultry processing will be an added advantage.
- Proficiency in refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, and electronics maintenance.
- Experience with PLC controls and automation systems is essential.
- Ability to identify and address maintenance issues proactively to prevent breakdowns.
- Excellent leading, communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
