We are looking for ACCOUNTANTS (AUSTRALIAN CALENDAR)
Veracity Services is the global outsourcing arm of the Veracity Group, specializing in Business Process Management and Knowledge Process Management Services in key areas of Finance & Accounting, Process Automation, Data Science & AI, Mobility and Customer Experience Services. We cater to a diverse portfolio of clients from the US, UK, Australia, Middle East and Sri Lanka.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual who can work independently and is passionate for numbers to join our team for a client in Australia. This position will be based in Sri Lanka.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of work papers for BAS for client's approval and submission.
- Correctly accounting for GST transactions and reconciliations.
- Record and reconcile payroll transactions and processing of payroll.
- Undertake bank reconciliations and end of month accounting journals.
- Reconcile balance sheet and P&L items with respective work papers.
- Collate and record source data information accurately in client accounting systems.
- Review and analyze financial data of client organizations.
- Preparation of personal and SME business tax returns.
Requirements
- At least 1 Year of Australian accounting and Taxation experience is a must to apply for the position.
- Experience in accounting and finance preferably in BPO organization.
- Part or fully qualified in CA/CIMA/ACCA or undergraduate/degree holder in commerce/business management and Finance from a reputed University.
- Strong numeracy and reconciliation skills.
- Proficiency in the use of packages like Xero, MYOB and QB.
- Proficiency in the use of Oracle NetSuite will be an added advantage.
- Proven ability to multitask and meet critical deadlines.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
- Advanced Excel skills.
