The company presently manufactures 100% natural and organic latex foam cores, toppers, and pillows that are all carbon neutralized. All products are made at its ISO 14001-2004, 9001-2008, 50001-2011 certified production facility located in a dedicated export processing zone with excellent infrastructure facilities provided by the Board of Investment (BOI) Sri Lanka.

We are looking for a dynamic, commercially astute, self-motivated individual having a flair to contribute towards company's objective of achieving customer service excellence, to take up duties of our strategic business unit (SBU) on an e-Commerce platform catering to the international markets.

Assistant Manager - E-Commerce Operations

The Role:

Reporting to the Managing Director, this position will play a lead role and direct all facets of operations of the e-commerce Strategic Business unit which would include, but not limited to....

  • Together with the Director building a strategy for the business units.
  • Develop strategic initiatives with timelines and launch the operations.
  • Orchestrate all aspects of the e-commerce strategy for the brand.
  • Coordinate activities between the SBU and Manufacturer.

He will manage a combined pool of outsourced/in-house e-commerce professionals that can effectively help develop and execute e-commerce solutions. This team should represent a variety of strengths to fulfill creative, analytical, technical, and logistical needs.

  • Possess a knowledge of the Shopify web platform.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the e-Commerce website.
  • Coordinate with warehouse center operations, managing warehouse stock and back-office management systems.
  • Implement leading practices of e-commerce solutions for products.

Provide MIS and status reports to the management regularly. Be the custodian of internet marketing solutions, social media management, payment gateways, search engine optimization (SEO), and other monitoring methodologies and analytics.

The Person:

  • Should possess CIM/SLIM qualifications or equivalent qualifications.
  • Additional qualifications in Digital Marketing would be advantageous.
  • Must have at least 3 years' experience in an executive capacity in digital marketing targeting overseas markets, preferably in consumer durables.
  • Must possess good knowledge of e-commerce technologies, Digital Marketing strategies/tools, Sales & Distribution functions.
  • Should be flexible to work beyond normal working hours as we cater to overseas markets.
