ASSISTANT MANAGER - PRODUCTION & PLANT OPERATIONS

Job Role

  • Meet production and service related KPIs assigned (On Time In Full); maintain promptness and professionalism when dealing with internal stakeholders while maintaining excellent customer services
  • Develop production schedules, monitor planned schedule performance and track resource utilization
  • Consistently demonstrate ability to meet and exceed client expectations when faced with product complaints Proactively recommend and implement process improvements to enhance workflow efficiency
  • Leading and guiding production staff towards efficient and quality operations
  • Analysing production data to identify and resolve any production issues and meet day to day targets
  • Develop and monitor the product/process quality and ensure resource gaps are monitored effectively
  • Plan and implement action plans, and contingencies to maximise machine / staff / truck efficiencies / effectiveness and minimise production loss/stock-out situations in order to optimise departmental metrics Monitor and improve
  • departmental processes, policies and procedures in the organisation
  • Develop contingency plans to ensure continuity of supply chain in emergency scenarios
  • Ensure effective documentation practices are maintained for all operational activities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Chemical/Process Engineering from a recognized university or equivalent professional qualifications in Engineering
  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management would be added as an advantage
  • Minimum 7 years' relevant experience in manufacturing operations, plantation, armed forces or merchandising roles, of which at least 7 years in a managerial role, preferably in Beverage sector
  • Dynamic, energetic, self-motivated and able to work independently and with responsibility
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Sinhala, English - Knowledge in Tamil would be a distinct advantage
  • Computer literate with good report writing skills & ability to analyse, capture and present information effectively Proficiency in MS Office, especially MS Excel
  • Having good analytical skills & problem solving skills
  • Excellent Management and leadership skills Inclusive of handling human resource to achieve production targets.
