HEAD OF QUALITY ASSURANCE
American Premium Water, the pioneer in Sri Lanka's bottled water industry, was established in 1995, and serves as the catalyst in today's competitive 5 gallon/dispenser operation.

Job Role
- Manage quality assurance compliance, quality, and food safety including required documentation, protocols and corrective action logs
- Research & develop new products and relevant processes to cater market and business requirements
- Making sure that sourcing, manufacturing and transporting processes meet national and international quality standards
- Prepare & update quality documentation, as per Ministry of Health requirement, SLSI, ISO 9001 and 22000 standards
- Defining quality procedures in conjunction with operating staff
- Visit customers on complaints as per the gravity and seriousness of the complaint and provide timely solutions for corrections followed by long term preventive actions
- Develop quality assurance plans by conducting HACCP programs
- Closely work with safety and supply chain departments to manage, inspect and correct all safety related issues
- Ensure overall efficiency and effectiveness of the Quality Assurance Department
Requirements
- A special degree in Chemistry or M.I.Chem.C or any equivalent degree awarded by an institute which is recognized by the UGC
- Master's degree in Food Science & Technology or Microbiology would be a distinct advantage
- Prior experience in Water Analysis, New Product Development and ISO documentation will be considered as an added advantage
- Minimum 08 years' managerial experience in all aspects of Quality Assurance Management
- Good understanding of local & international quality standards, audits and internal controls
- Customer service orientated, analytical, energetic attitude and a team player
- Exceptional interpersonal skills in Sinhala, English. Knowledge in Tamil would be an added advantage
- Ability to multi-task, negotiate, make sound decisions and implement organizational change at leadership level
- Computer literate with good report writing skills & ability to analyze, capture and present information effectively
