We are looking for a proactive and experienced Business Development Manager to identify potential clients. The ideal candidate should possess a strong blend of business development and marketing skills, with a deep understanding of the shipping, freight forwarding and logistics industry. As the Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in identifying new business opportunities, cultivating client relationships, and implementing effective marketing strategies to promote our services.
Responsibilities:
Business Development:
• Identify and target potential clients within the freight forwarding and logistics industry.
• Develop and execute strategic plans to expand the company's customer base and revenue streams.
• Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective clients through market research and networking.
Client Relationship Management:
• Foster strong, long-lasting relationships with existing clients, understanding their needs and ensuring exceptional service delivery.
• Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly.
Marketing Strategy:
• Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies that align with the company's goals and target audience.
• Plan and execute marketing campaigns, including digital marketing, trade shows, and industry events.
Collaboration:
• Work closely with the operations team to ensure seamless execution of services and customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align business development and marketing efforts with overall company objectives.
Requirements:
• A bachelor's degree or a diploma in transportation and logistics, or a related field.
• Proven track record of at least 5 years in business development and marketing roles within the logistics or freight forwarding industry.
• Strong understanding of logistics operations, supply chain management, and industry dynamics.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
• Demonstrated experience in creating and executing successful marketing strategies.
• Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in relevant software and tools, including CRM systems and digital marketing platforms.
