JOB DESCRIPTION
The Operations manager is responsible for managing and developing the strategic suppliers and its database in Sri Lanka and other Asian countries. Our suppliers are travel agents, hotels, activity providers, guides, drivers, and transport companies. You will also work closely with sales consultants and customer care specialists to handle all bookings.The Operations tour executive position is responsible for proving high quality services to our customers by handling reservations & bookings, managing, and maintaining supplier database, supplier quality control, and managing client costings.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Build and manage a quality supplier database, build up knowledge of destinations and attractions.Manage suppliers: supplier training, quality control and pricing/contract negotiations.Manage costings & quotations, customer reservations & bookings of hotels, transport & activities.Support converting maximum number of queries into bookings and achieving individual and combined team sales targets.Proactively monitor suppliers for error-free services to clients and provide high quality service.To be available at any time to provide client care and solve issues while clients are on tour.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 1 year experience in operations in a tour company as a Junior/senior operations executive or an operations manager
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills in English & Sinhalese
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office, computer & internet savvy
- Sustainable tourism experience
- Responsible for supplier quality: Supplier selection, supplier visits, and validations.
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Team player and a leader
- Lead and execute sustainability with all our suppliers.
