- Assistant Manager-Environment, Safety & Health
Responsibilities & Accountabilities.
- Conducting and reviewing the risk assessment on timely basis to mitigate risk factors and taking actions in ensuring the ESH of all employees at the premises. Planning and ensuring the periodic ESH audits are conducted as per the audit plan.
- Ensuring all the all legal and other requirements of the safety & health of the company are met.
- Updating ESH information to the management on a timely basis requires main- taining and improving the ESH system in the group.
- Ensuring continual improvements, eliminating hazard / environmental impacts within the Company, and maintaining zero major and fatal accidents. Preparing/Reviewing the EMS policy and Safety Polices and implementing all such things in actions.
- Investigate daily incidents related to health and safety issues in the plant and reporting to take precautions action to avoid the same.
Personal Profile
- NDT with (Chemical / Mechanical / Polymer) / National Diploma in health and Safety (Sri Lanka) Or equal qualification.
- Knowledge of ISO 14000 standard, OSHAS and ISO 9000.
- Certified Auditor in EMS / OSHAS would be an added advantage.
- Ability to carry out risk assessment and aspect identification
- Possess analytical skills and skills of solving problems related to ESH.
- Thorough understanding of the Standards and OSHAS
