- Position: Engineer
- Location: Passikudah, Sri Lanka
Uga Bay is a luxury boutique hotel located along the beachfront and set just meters from the pristine beaches of the stunning crescent-shaped Passikudah Bay. Owned and managed by Uga, which is a luxury boutique hotel chain with an exquisite collection of hotels. The Uga Experience unites the natural magic of Sri Lanka with the warmest hospitality of her people.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee maintenance operations for guest rooms, building structures, mechanical, electrical, H.V.A.C systems, power plant, reverse osmosis water plant, sewage treatment plant, and related equipment.
- Collaborate with management team to plan and execute renovation projects.
- Manage maintenance and engineering department's budget and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Maintain inventory of spare parts and necessary supplies for repairs.
- Train and supervise engineering staff.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
- Language proficiency in English & Tamil.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar capacity.
- Experience in hotel engineering will be an advantage.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Availability for on-call duties as needed.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
