Uga is a luxury boutique hotel chain with an exquisite collection of hotels consisting of Uga Ulagalla in Anuradhapura, Uga Jungle Beach in Trincomalee, Uga Bay in Passikudah, Uga Residence in Colombo, Uga Chena Huts in Yala, and Uga Riva in Negombo. Responsibilities
- Develop and document comprehensive SOPs and policies that align with industry standards and company objectives.
- Implement and monitor Quality Management Systems (QMS) to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal quality standards.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with department heads to create and update training manuals and materials to enhance operational efficiency and consistency.
- Lead training sessions and workshops to educate staff on quality standards, SOPs, and best practices.
- Analyze guest feedback and operational data to recommend and implement corrective actions and preventive measures.
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior management outlining quality metrics, audit findings, and improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience (3 years) in a quality assurance role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and their application in hotel operations.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and trends to drive decision-making.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Proficiency in MS Office and related software; familiarity with hospitality industry software is a plus. Certification in Quality Management (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO 9001) is desirable.
