ASSISTANT MANAGER

FINANCE

Orient Insurance Limited is one of Sri Lanka's fastest-growing General Insurers. We are currently on the look for an experienced, motivated, and energetic candidate to join our Finance team.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Preparing and filing accurate tax returns on timely basis along with timely payments whilst maintaining timely records and documentation
  • Liaising with Inland Revenue Department, external and internal auditors, tax consultants and other stakeholders
  • Responding to any inquiries or audits from the tax authorities on a timely basis
  • Ensuring that the company complies with all relevant tax laws and regulations
  • Managing the general ledger including overseeing the monthly balance sheet reconciliations and bank reconciliations
  • Supervising Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Team

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate (Finance/ Accounting) or partly qualified accountant with 5-8 years' experience
  • Proven work experience on tax accounting with in-depth knowledge of Tax regulations
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team Ability to work with minimum supervision whilst adhering to strict deadlines
