Regulatory Officer

A reputed Agrochemical Company in Colombo is looking for an energetic and experienced person to handle their regulatory affairs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Liaising the regulatory affairs with local regulatory authorities (Department of Agriculture and other relevant institutes) within the field of responsibility.
Communicate and maintain close cooperation with overseas suppliers while collecting and evaluating new product data from a range of sources.
Undertake all the agrochemical registration/regulatory matters with the Department of Agriculture and relevant institutes.
Up to date knowledge on regulatory legislation and guidelines Department of Agriculture and relevant institutes.

⚫ Formulate proposals for new product development to compete with local competitors.

⚫ Study farmer problems and search products 'fit in to gaps' and explore the possibilities to register them under the company.

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE

BSc degree in Agriculture.
3-5 years hands-on experience in agrochemical industry in a similar role.
Strong technical knowledge to accomplish the registration process of agrochemicals within established timelines.
Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, good command in English, good computer literacy, administrative and presentation skills, while being a good team player.
High level of professional conduct with ethics, honesty, and integrity is preferred.
