Manager - Financial Reporting & Taxation
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and ensure accuracy in reporting.
- Stay abreast with industry trends, lead the implementation of new accounting standards and ensure compliance with changes in regulations.
- Provide financial insights and analysis to senior leadership, supporting strategic decision-making.
- Develop and maintain strong internal controls over financial reporting.
- Conduct thorough reviews of tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Research and analyze complex tax issues, staying updated on the latest changes in tax legislation.
- Develop and implement effective tax strategies, identifying opportunities for tax savings and risk mitigation and working closely with the Department of Inland Revenue to resolve any issues or disputes.
Profile Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Fully qualified member of ICASL, ACCA, ACA, CTA or CIMA.
- Minimum of 5 - 8 years of progressive experience in financial reporting and/or tax preparations, planning, and compliance, preferably in a professional services firm or corporate tax department.
- Proficient in financial reporting systems and tools and previous experience in ERP system. In-depth knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and accounting principles.
