We are looking for an individual passionate about conserving the environment to lead our team of scientists involved in advocacy, delivering science-based projects, and developing research papers.

Environmental Foundation Guarantee Ltd (EFL) was established in 1981 as a Civil Society Organization to conserve Sri Lanka's natural environment through legal and scientific means. Our activities include public interest litigation, scientific research and advocacy, support to government agencies and implementation terrestrial and marine-based conservation projects.
Responsibilities
- Develop and Cascade Science Team Vision: Develop strategic and annual plans for the division and align the team with organization's vision.
- Operational Oversight of Division: Ensure proper staffing, allocation of duties, and efficient operation of division in collaboration with other divisions to achieve organization objectives.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain meaningful relationships with government agencies, donors, corporates, environmental agencies, and environmental science experts.
- Develop Project Pipeline: Actively pursue funding for conservation-based projects by submitting compelling project proposals to local and international donors.
- Knowledge Sharing: Create knowledge sharing and awareness programs on conservation.
Skills & Qualification Requirement
- 5+ years of post-graduate work experience in environmental sciences.
- Excellent analytical and report writing skills.
- Publications in environmental sciences.
- Leadership skills and ability to motivate and manage multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication and networking skills.
- High level of integrity and commitment.
- Post-graduate degree in natural or environmental sciences.
