PROJECT DIRECTOR
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and direct project teams and staff towards the execution and completion of projects.
- Plan, direct, and coordinate overall project activities to meet project goals and deadlines.
- Keep constant track of project progress to ensure targets are met as per the dates of completion.
- Ensure all required resources are available and coordinated appropriately at all organizational levels to ensure smooth execution of construction works.
- Provide strategic direction and oversight to project managers and team members.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and contractual obligations.
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the project lifecycle through adjudication and arbitration if necessary.
- Maintain effective communication with clients, stakeholders, and senior management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10-15 years of building experience in a leading major construction company in Sri Lanka.
- Versatile knowledge of planning, directing, and coordinating overall project activities.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects.
- Special knowledge and experience in construction management and adjudication/arbitration.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Excellent command of the English language both spoken and written.
