SOC Analyst - Executive
We seek an experienced SOC Analyst to join our IT Team at Executive Level. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the Security Operations Centre (SOC) and ensuring the integrity, availability, and confidentiality of the Company's information assets. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise in cybersecurity, and a deep understanding of the financial industry's regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Networking, Cybersecurity, or related field
- A Masters in Cybersecurity or Information Assurance is advantageous
- Proficiency in at least one SIEM solution (Splunk, Wazuh, Qradar, AlienVault, Forti preferred)
Advantages
- Certifications in security
- Experience creating SOAR playbooks
- Familiarity with EDR solutions
- Experience with security training platforms like Hack The Box, Tryhackme, or Lets Defend (a plus)
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts and principles
- Familiarity with network security concepts
- Willing to work on a roster basis
- Strong communication and documentation skills
Responsibilities
- Security Event Monitoring and Analysis: Diligently monitor security alerts generated by SIEM solutions (e.g., Splunk, Wazuh) to identify potential security incidents
- Threat Investigation
- Incident Response: Assist senior analysts with incident response activities by gathering and documenting evidence, escalating high-priority incidents, and following established procedures
- Security Awareness: Participate in organizing and executing simulated phishing campaigns to educate employees on cybersecurity best practices and generate reports on security incidents, trends, and activity within the SOC
- Continuous Learning
Work Experience
Minimum one year experience in a technical or security-related role
