Potential Role Overview
The role will support our client, Teoh Capital, a private equity firm in Australia, who invest in growing B2B software businesses with recurring revenues AU$1-50 million. We are seeking a talented Investment Analyst to join our dynamic team. As an Investment Analyst, you will play a crucial role in our investment strategy by conducting in-depth financial research, analyzing market trends, and providing valuable insights to support investment decisions.
Financial Analysis
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis of potential investment opportunities, including reviewing financial statements, cash flows, valuation metrics.
- Evaluate the financial health and performance of companies and industries to make informed investment recommendations.
Investment Due Diligence
- Research and assess potential investments, analyzing market trends, and identifying key risk factors.
- Create detailed investment reports and presentations to support investment decision-making.
Portfolio Management
- Assist in managing and optimizing the company's investment portfolio, ensuring it aligns with the overall investment strategy.
- Monitor and track the performance of existing investments and recommend adjustments as needed.
Market Research
- Stay up-to-date with market trends, economic developments, and industry news to provide insights into potential investment opportunities and threats.
Risk Assessment
- Conduct risk assessments and stress tests on investment portfolios to identify potential weaknesses and develop risk mitigation strategies.
About you
To succeed in this role you will require:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of work experience in a relevant financial role post-graduation.
- Previous experience in a Big 4 accounting firm (PwC, EY, KPMG, Deloitte) or an investment bank is highly preferred.
- Strong financial modeling skills and proficiency in financial analysis techniques.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools.
- A proactive and analytical mindset with a keen attention to detail.
