Senior SQL Developer
Our US client is on the lookout for a talented Senior SQL Developer to join their team in Sri Lanka.
Your Profile
- 4+ years of experience in SQL Server (and PostgreSQL) development.
- Expert proficiency in writing complex and highly optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
- Thorough understanding of T-SQL, indexes, query plans, blocking, transactions etc., to perform optimizations.
- Understanding of database design principles and best practices.
- Experience in built-in and external DB tools including SQL profiler, DMV etc.
- Experience working with large databases will be a plus.
- Priority will be given to candidates who can join immediately.
- Fluent in spoken and written English to directly work with the onsite team in the US.
Responsibilities
- Manage and enhance existing SQL Server and PostgreSQL tables, views, and stored procedures.
- Design and develop new tables, views, and stored procedures to support business needs.
- Work with the architecture team to provide insights and suggestions for database design and improvements.
- Work with the business team to understand requirements and implement necessary database changes.
- Optimize database (SQL Server and Postgres) performance through indexing, query tuning, and other best practices.
- Experience with ETL processes, Python, and Apache Airflow is a plus.
