Key responsibilities :

  • New Business Operations
    Act as the key liaison for all new business-related activities. Responsible for coordinating and follow up with the sales team for new business requirements, resolve pending requirements and support for the business.
  • Underwriting Assistance
    Provide underwriting support during peak periods, particularly at month-end, to ensure uninterrupted processing and policy issuance.
  • Primary Liaison Between Bank and SLIC Life Banca Team
    Serve as the central point of contact between the bank and the SLIC Life team for all back-office operations. Ensure effective and timely communication and maintain a cordial relationship among all stakeholders, including the sales officers, internal bank staff, to facilitate seamless coordination.
  • Digital Transformation of Banca Processes
    Lead the digitalization initiatives for Bancassurance – Life by coordinating the transition of all operational processes into digital platforms related to new business. Ensure all sales force members are using digital proposal submission by the end of the year.
  • Administrative & MIS Support
    The preparation and maintenance of accurate Management Information Systems (MIS) reports for new business commissioning relevant banks. Maintain well-organized records to provide administrative support to the Bancassurance – Life team to facilitate smooth day-to-day operations with regards to new business.
  • Customer Support & Coordination
    Address and resolve customer inquiries and issues routed through banking partners, ensuring prompt, professional, and customer-focused solutions.
  • Involvement in special projects as requested by the management

Qualifications/Pre-requisites/Requirements for the position;

  • Passed G.C.E A/L with 3 Main Subjects in one sitting (excluding General English/Optional Subjects)
  • Passed G.C.E O/L with Credit passes for Mathematics, English, Sinhala/Tamil (within two sittings).
  • Minimum of 1 – 2 years of experience in underwriting is required.
  • Effective communication in Sinhala, English & Tamil.
  • Experience in MIS Office package (Word/ Excel/ Power point).
  • Should have Analytical ability/Pleasing Personality with go-getter attitude/A team player.
  • Age is preferably below 24 years.
