Channel Manager-Modern Trade
Responsibilities:
- Administering sales and promotional activities across multiple Modern Trade Channels
- Aligning with the merchandising Manager and coordinators and ensuring on-time execution and availability of products at the store level
- Analysing sales data to formulate and implement both long-term and short-term strategies to achieve set objectives
- Conducting regular market visits to enhance overall merchandising standards through expertise and industry knowledge
- Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders in each Modern Trade channel
- Ensuring the achievement of sales targets for all Modern Trade accounts while operating within the allocated promotional budgets
Qualifications:
- A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a similar role within an FMCG organisation
- Professional qualifications in Sales and/or Marketing (Degree / Diploma / CIM / SLIM) will be considered an added advantage
- Demonstrated success in managing Modern Trade accounts, along with experience in leading teams of sales executives and merchandisers
- Strong leadership qualities and confidence in team management
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Sinhala, essential for interacting effectively with key personnel
- Proven analytical capability to interpret data and develop effective sales and promotional strategies
- Proficiency in preparing detailed sales reports and delivering presentations to the management team
- Proficiency in MS Office tools and data-driven decision-making
- Age below 40 years
