Job Description

Job Role:

  • Maintain and update accurate records of all vehicles and vehicle related incidents including, services, repairs etc.
  • Monitor vehicle movements, fuel usage, and consumption rates in line with company policies and operational guidelines.
  • Coordinate and arrange routine maintenance, repairs, and servicing to ensure fleet reliability and minimal downtime.
  • Conduct vehicle inspections and test runs to identify technical or operational issues.
  • Coordinate with all departments & HOD's to determine the transport requirements & schedule transport to meet their requirements.
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage daily transport operations across the group to ensure the timely and cost-effective movement of goods and personnel.
  • Oversee fleet management activities, including vehicle allocation, preventive maintenance scheduling, fuel efficiency monitoring, and optimum vehicle utilization.
  • Ensure compliance with transport regulations, safety standards, insurance requirements, licensing, and other statutory obligations.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external service providers to maintain smooth transport operations and service delivery.
  • Prepare transport-related reports, analyze operational data, and recommend improvements for efficiency and cost control.
  • Proficiency in MS Office package and experience with transport or fleet management systems will be an added advantage

Qualifications:

  • A male candidate is preferred
  • A Diploma or Degree in logistics, business management or related field
  • At least 2 years' experience in similar capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of Sri Lankan transport regulations and safety standards.
  • Proven experience in managing fleets, drivers, and operational costs.
  • Good leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
