GENERAL MANAGER
GRI SOLID TIRE MANUFACTURING PLANT

We are seeking a people-focused leader to manage overall plant operations, including production, quality, maintenance, logistics, safety and team performance. This is a high-impact leadership role offering the opportunity to shape plant performance, strengthen teams, and contribute directly to GRI's continued global growth. The ideal candidate will build strong teams, drive accountability, and foster a positive, high-performance culture. This leadership position is based at GRI's Solid Tire Manufacturing Plant in Badalgama, Negombo.

Commercial acumen and strong business sense
- Lead end-to-end plant operations: production, quality, maintenance, logistics & safety
- Build a disciplined, high-performance culture with strong accountability and teamwork
- Own and drive KPIs: output, quality, delivery, cost, safety & people performance
- Improve productive, reduce waste, and enhance operational efficiency
- Review performance with functional leads and ensure timely corrective actions
- Collaborate closely with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, HR & Finance teams
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety & operational standards while fostering a safety-first culture
- Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence across the plant
Preferred Experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in manufacturing or industrial operations
- Proven experience managing large operational teams in a factory environment
- Exposure to tire, rubber, polymer, or heavy manufacturing industries as a candidate
- Experience across production, quality, maintenance, and continuous improvement practices
