Post of Assistant Manager Production and Planning

The Role

You are responsible for overseeing production planning activities, ensuring efficient utilization of resources, maintaining production schedules, and supporting the achievement of organizational manufacturing targets while complying with GMP, quality, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and monitor production plans to ensure timely completion of manufacturing schedules.
  • Coordinate with Procurement, Stores, Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and other relevant departments to ensure uninterrupted production operations.
  • Optimize manpower, machinery, and material utilization to maximize productivity and efficiency.
  • Monitor daily production performance and take corrective actions to achieve production targets.
  • Maintain accurate production records and generate management reports.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, ISO standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and implement productivity enhancement initiatives.
  • Manage inventory levels of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods in coordination with relevant departments.
  • Lead, coach, and develop production staff to maintain high-performance standards.
  • Support new product introductions and production scale-up activities.

What We’re Looking For

  • Degree or Diploma in Production Management, Industrial Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Professional qualifications in Production, Operations, or Supply Chain Management will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Production Planning and Manufacturing Operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
  • Experience in FMCG, Pharmaceutical, Cosmetics, Ayurvedic, or Manufacturing industries is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of production planning, inventory control, capacity planning, and process improvement methodologies.
  • Sound understanding of GMP, ISO standards, and quality management systems.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
