About the Role
A leading organization in the Banking & Financial Services sector is seeking a Foreign Desk Relationship Manager (India) to establish and strengthen relationships with Indian corporates and investors operating in Sri Lanka. This role requires a commercially driven professional capable of identifying business opportunities, managing client relationships, and supporting trade and investment activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a portfolio of Indian corporate and individual clients.
- Acquire new business and expand market presence within the Indian business community.
- Drive deposit mobilization, lending, and trade finance opportunities.
- Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and business networks.
- Identify cross-selling and revenue-generation opportunities.
- Support trade and investment initiatives between Sri Lanka and India.
- Provide market intelligence and cultural insights to stakeholders.
- Work closely with internal teams to deliver effective financial solutions.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal policies.
- Deliver agreed business and portfolio targets.
Requirements
- Degree in Finance, Banking, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- MBA or professional qualifications will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Corporate Banking, Relationship Management, Business Development, or Financial Services.
- Fluency in Hindi or another Indian language, along with English.
- Strong understanding of corporate client management and business development.
