Assistant Manager – Accounts Payable
About the Role
Hemas COE (Pvt) Ltd is looking for a passionate and experienced finance professional to join our team as an Assistant Manager – Accounts Payable. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end Accounts Payable operations while ensuring service excellence, process efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement within a dynamic shared services environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end Accounts Payable process, including invoice processing, payment processing, vendor reconciliations, and account clearing activities.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices in accordance with established policies, procedures, and service level agreements.
- Review and approve AP transactions, reconciliations, and accounting entries to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Drive timely resolution of invoice discrepancies, payment issues, and aged outstanding items.
- Monitor Accounts Payable ageing and maintain effective stakeholder and vendor relationships.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to Accounts Payable.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and finance governance standards.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and operational efficiencies.
- Lead, coach, and develop team members to achieve performance excellence.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth and effective service delivery.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and/or a professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, CA, or an equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Accounts Payable, Finance Operations, or a Shared Services environment.
- Prior experience in supervising or managing a team.
- Strong understanding of AP processes, accounting principles, and internal controls.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP experience will be an added advantage).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results within deadlines.
