Purchasing Executive — Cost Controller —

Weligama, Southern Sri Lanka • Southern Province candidates preferred

1. Purchasing Executive

Key responsibilities

  • Source and compare supplier quotes; minimum three quotes on major purchases
  • Raise, track and close purchase orders across all outlets
  • Negotiate pricing, credit terms and delivery schedules
  • Maintain the approved vendor list and master price list
  • Maintain central purchasing records and monthly procurement reports
  • Coordinate deliveries and lead times with stores and outlet teams

Requirements

  • 3–5 years in purchasing or procurement; hospitality or F&B preferred
  • Strong Excel / Google Sheets; comfortable with structured records
  • Confident negotiating with suppliers
  • English and Sinhala; Tamil an advantage
  • Organized, detail-oriented, able to work independently

2. Cost Controller

Key responsibilities

  • Verify daily receiving against purchase orders and agreed prices
  • Recipe costing and menu costing support
  • Monthly stock counts across all outlets; investigate and explain variances
  • Food and beverage cost percentage reporting against budget
  • Track wastage, spoilage, staff meals and inter-outlet transfers
  • Unannounced spot checks on stores and outlets
  • Support finance with month-end close

Requirements

  • 3–5 years as a Cost Controller or similar; hotels, resorts or restaurants preferred
  • Experience with POS and inventory systems (Loyverse an advantage)
  • Strong Excel; confident with large data sets
  • Willing to challenge department heads on cost and process — this role is independent of purchasing and kitchen
  • English and Sinhala; Tamil an advantage
