SHIPPING EXECUTIVE

Are you an experienced professional in the field of logistics and shipping? Do you possess expertise in temporary import for export process (TIEP) and customs procedure? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

Our tea export company is seeking a skilled Shipping Executive to join our dynamic team. As the Shipping Executive, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of our tea products to international markets. You will be responsible for handling logistics, temporary import for export process, customs process, and collaborating with relevant authorities such as the industrial ministry and other departments.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the end-to-end logistics process, shipping agents, and customs officials.
  • Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and customs procedures.
  • Oversee the temporary import for export process (TIEP) and maintain records to facilitate the efficient movement of goods.
  • Collaborate with the Sri Lanka Tea Board and other relevant departments to obtain necessary permits, licenses and clearances.
  • Maintain effective communication with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations throughout the shipping and documentation process.
  • Proactively solve any logistical challenges or issues that may arise.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Extensive experience in logistics and shipping, preferably in the tea export industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and supply chain management.
  • Strong understanding of the temporary import for export process (TIEP) and associated documentation.
  • Sound knowledge and the ability to collaborate with relevant institutions.
  • Proven track record of effectively working with the industrial ministry and other relevant departments.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make informed decisions quickly.
